Prejuicios de la citología vaginal en mujeres de 18 - 50 años

Abstract

To identify the prejudices that women have between 18 and 50 years for the non-performance of the vaginal cytology. Methodology: observational descriptive study of prevalence. Results: 84% have had the vaginal cytology and 16% have not, in the perception of the women 38% feel shame, 27% of the population is 100% women between 18 to 50 years old of the Municipal Hospital Rubén Cruz Vélez, Fear and 21% nuisance, which means not to go to the annual take of this. Only 8% have presented pain and 6% are indifferent. Conclusions: in identifying the prejudices of patients who are not adherent to screening, strategies can be implemented to expand coverage of women and thus Ensure better acceptance.

Identificar los prejuicios que tienen las mujeres entre 18 y 50 años para la no realización de la citología vaginal. Metodología: estudio observacional descriptivo de prevalencia. Cuya población son100 mujeres entre 18 a 50 años de edad del Hospital Municipal Rubén Cruz Vélez, Resultados: el 84% se han realizado la citología vaginal y el 16% no, en la percepción de las mujeres el 38% sienten vergüenza, el 27% miedo y el 21% fastidio, lo que conlleva a no acudir anualmente a la toma de esta. Solo el 8 % han presentado dolor y un 6% les es indiferente. Conclusiones: al identificar los prejuicios que tienen las Pacientes que no son adherentes al tamizaje se pueden implementar estrategias para ampliar la cobertura de las mujeres y así asegurar una mejor aceptación.
