Abstract

This paper is about the implementation of a control panel linked to the conveyor in the UCEVA industrial Engineering lab. The objective of the Project is to improve the tecnological level of the laboratory, establishing better control parameters, monitoring and flexibility about the process simulated in the lab, also, create the active learning process, getting closer at the automated system and execute theoric concepts related whith the industrial automated field and some outstandings concepts for industrial engineer academic training. About the development of the implementation, was necessary benchmarking the automated basic needings of the labs, making an analysis of the actual automated level using the output information to define the expanding hopes and improvement. The info was used to establish the restrictios which Likely afect the Project.

El presente trabajo se fundamenta en la implementación de un tablero de control, alineado a la banda transportadora del laboratorio de ingeniería industrial de la Unidad Central del Valle del Cauca (UCEVA). Con ésta implementación se pretende mejorar el nivel tecnológico del laboratorio de ingeniería industrial, a fin de establecer mayores parámetros de control, monitoreo y flexibilidad sobre los procesos que actualmente son simulados en dicho laboratorio; además, de que se establezca un proceso de aprendizaje activo, en cuanto al acercamiento a los sistemas automatizados y aplicación de conceptos teóricos relacionados con el campo de la automatización industrial, y algunos conceptos relevantes para la formación académica del ingeniero industrial.
