dc.description.abstract | La ingeniería biomédica es una disciplina que ha avanzado a grandes pasos desde que llegó al continente en el siglo XX, como parte de un proceso de cambio y de industrialización del área de la medicina, la ingeniería biomédica juega un papel clave en los procesos hospitalarios y quirúrgicos, así como en las secciones de emergencia en los hospitales, debido a la necesidad de maquinaria en los mismos.
En este artículo, se revisarán fuentes históricas y académicas para poder describir como la misma ha ido evolucionando a través de los años en el continente, así como los efectos que esto a tenido en el mismo, se espera que al finalizar el artículo, el lector sea capaz de comprender la ingeniería biomédica en el continente, sus efectos y los avances logrados, asi como las dificultades que se han enfrentado los investigadores en el pasado. Al igual que los grandes logros que se han podido conseguir en la misma. | spa |
